Welcome to the Eastwood Height Public School Band WebsiteThe Eastwood Heights Public School Band is run by a sub-committee of the Eastwood Heights Parents & Citizens association. We have 3 bands: Training Band is the first stage of the Band Program, where children spend their first year learning how to play their instruments, how to read music and how to play as a group. Intermediate Concert Band is the next stage, for developing players with a working knowledge of their instrument and a growing understanding of music. Senior Concert Band is the final stage of the Band Program, and Senior Concert Band Members are expected to be able to sightread unfamiliar music and have a good level of musical ability with their instrument. Each year, both the Senior and Intermediate Concert Bands participate in public Eisteddfods and Competitions, and perform at Community events such as the Granny Smith Festival. The Bands also perform at special School Assemblies and other important occasions throughout the year including the famous EHPS Fireworks Night. |
